In 1988, Terri Manzione earned her Juris Doctorate degree from St. John’s University School of Law and was admitted to the Second Department.
Terri practiced law for 18 years, working for defense firms and focusing on matters of medical malpractice, premises liability, automobile liability including Uninsured and Underinsured claims, and asbestos exposure resulting in serious injury and death. She managed all aspects of litigation from inception until verdict, including drafting of and responding to pleadings and appeals, preparing and arguing motions, meeting with and preparing Insureds and Expert Witnesses, conducted depositions and engaged in jury selection and trial. During those years she handled all aspects of residential real estate matters as well, representing Lenders, Sellers and Purchasers.
Terri is a strong writer and public speaker, has been published on several occasions, and is comfortable speaking to audiences of six to six hundred.
She returned to the practice of law in 2018, after a sabbatical wherein she held positions including Medicaid Service Coordinator, Advocate, Corporate Compliance Officer, Grant Writer and Executive Director for non-profit agencies who care for those with Autism and other Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She continues to volunteer and advocate, through her service on the Long Island Family Support Services Advisory Council and other Advisory Boards.
