Valerie Froehlich is a Partner who joined the firm as an Associate in 1998. Her practice focuses on medical malpractice, nursing home litigation and complex general liability. Prior to joining the firm in 1998, Ms. Froehlich was an adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University, where she taught a course entitled, Gender Issues in the Law.
Ms. Froehlich has also lectured to healthcare providers on risk management and documentation issues.
Ms. Froehlich has successfully drafted and argued several cases in the Appellate Divisions of the First and Second Departments. Representative reported cases include: Kushmakova v. Meadow Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 56 A.D.3d 434, 867 N.Y.S.2d 154; Hanly v. Quaker Chemical Company, 29 A.D.3d 860, 818 N.Y.S.2d 96; Hendrickson v. Birchwood Nursing Home, 26 A.D.3d 187, 807 N.Y.S.2d 876; Rivera v. La Guardia Hospital, 12 A.D.3d 585, 784 N.Y.S.2d 368.
Ms. Froehlich is admitted to the New York State Bar (1998) and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the New York State Women’s Bar Association and the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association.
Ms. Froehlich earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. John’s University in 1994 and her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 1997.
